Hornets pummel Northstars 49-21
The CNS Northstars seemed determined to stop Collin Simmons and the potent FM running game. Ike Bailey and Zach Aga made them regret that decision. Bailey was 19 for 26 for 239 yards and three touchdowns all to Zach Aga. CNS may have slowed Simmons but there really is no way to stop him. He ended up with 93 yards rushing, 2 touchdowns and 4 catches for 28 yards. Bobby DeForest had some very strong carries in the fourth quarter including a terrific 24 yard run for the Hornets final touchdown.

The Hornet defense played well holding the Northstars highly regarded running back Antwaun Johnson to 100 yards on 22 carries, well below his average. Johnson had been averaging over 170 yards per game and over 8 yards per carry.

The Hornets are now 8-0 and move on to the AA semifinals and a rematch with the always formidable Henniger Black Knights. The last two contests between these two teams have been hard fought and very physical. It is always difficult to beat a team twice in one year and the Hornets are going to have to be revved up if they are going to be victorious and march to the sectional finals in the Carrier dome.
